Jacks are divided into mechanical jacks and hydraulic jacks, with different principles. In principle, the most basic principle on which hydraulic transmission is based is Pascal's law, that is, the pressure of the liquid is consistent. Thus, in a balanced system, the pressure applied on the smaller piston is relatively small, and the pressure applied on the larger piston is relatively large, so that the liquid can be kept static. Therefore, different pressures on different ends can be obtained through the transmission of liquid, and the purpose of conversion can be achieved. The common hydraulic jack uses this principle to transfer the force. The screw jack pulls the handle back and forth, and the claw pulls the ratchet wheel to rotate. The small bevel gear drives the large bevel gear to rotate the lifting screw, so that the lifting sleeve can be lifted or lowered to achieve the function of lifting tension. However, it is not as simple as the hydraulic jack.
